Grains Of Time - CAMBI x SUPERRARE

Dystopian Visions is a collection of 18 artworks created by a collective of pioneering emerging Italian artists in the world of NFT digital art. The presented works are unique and certified through blockchain technology. In this exhibition the viewer is taken to a future where mankind and the machines have found a way of coexisting, disrupting in some cases the ecosystems as we know them. The artworks transmit a sense of connection that accompanies the viewer within unexpected scenarios, creating a dynamic relationship between those who observe them and try to immerse themselves in these new fantastic worlds.
We are facing an artistic and technological revolution of which the artists in this collection are direct witnesses. They tell us about the future from utopian and dystopian perspectives, inviting us to immerse ourselves in apocalyptic and unsettling realities of a child’s dream.
The world is changing. The artists perceived it first, understanding the dynamics of a constantly evolving movement, looking towards an interconnected system between art and technology, laying the foundations of what is now seen as a global movement called crypto
art: a creed that unites the online community and the spirit of each artist in a single digital space, extremely real and visionary. Crypto art, which emerged as early as 2018 and partly launched by a small group of pioneering Italian artists of this movement, has exported our culture, traditions and talent internationally. Dystopian Visions brings together some of the leading exponents of the Italian crypto art movement, proposing a theme linked to a future vision of the world. A world governed by a subtle balance, in tension between a utopian and dystopian dualism that reaches our everyday life and binds it to an increasingly digitized ecosystem.

How would the future be if seen through the eyes of a child? The work Grains of Time by Elia Pellegrini contains
the dreamlike vision of a young boy together with a more mature and realistic one - that of a man. The rhythm of
the work is marked by the inexorable passing of time, defined by a clear beam of light that permeates the scene.
With a surreal and fantasy-like atmosphere, Pellegrini highlights the small stature of the man in uniform against the
uncertainty that dominates him.
